Description

District A residents,

The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the proposed Dallas to Houston High-Speed Rail Project.

The proposed project would connect Dallas and Houston with a dedicated High-Speed Rail (HSR) system proposed by a private company, Texas Central Railway (TCR).

The Draft EIS is available for a 60-day public comment period, which will end on February 20, 2018. During this time, FRA will hold 10 public hearings in the affected counties in Texas.

In an effort to make sure that this meeting is accessible to everyone, I requested that TCR offer a bus for District A residents to take them to and from the meeting if you are unable to drive yourself. Space is limited. The RSVP deadline is Friday, February 2, 2018.
